This enclosure enables a fully fanless working CarPuter equiped with Intel D33217GKE or DCP847SKE NUC mainboard. Perfect for CarPuter, HTPC or Server applications. The included mSATA-to-SATA adapter card enables you to integrate a 2.5″ HDD/SSD drive. The (optional available) DCDC-USB converter allows using the system as a CarPuter.

The new Gigabyte GA-C847N Mini-ITX CarPuter mainboard manages the balancing act between modernism (Windows 8 and 7 support, HDMI, SATA 6Gb / s) and past (Windows XP support, IDE, RS-232) and is therefore a multi-functional platform for a variety of applications, including ideally a CarPuter. The dual-Gigabit LAN connections and the low price complete this mainboard perfectly.

The new Intel D2550MUD2 board can be seen as a “fill-in”. After Intel stopped production on Atom D2700 CPU, they needed replacement for the D2700MUD and D2700DC mainboard. The D2550MUD2 is equipped with a D2550 CPU. (2x 1.86Ghz instead of 2x 2.13Ghz CPU with D2700x models)

The DCDC-USB converter is getting a new big brother with DCDC-USB-200, a converter with peak power of 180W. The DCDC-USB is a high power intelligent DC-DC converter. This unit accepts any input ranging from 6-34V. Output is 12V regulated or output can be changed with simple jumper settings to 5V, 6V, 9V, 12V, 13.5V, 18V or 24V or via USB in fine increments (0.25V) anywhere from 6-24V.
